2010 Annual Banquet & Silent Auction

North Raleigh Hilton - January 21, 2010

ANNUAL BANQUET: SUCCESS!

Annual Banquet

The Knightdale Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet on Thursday night, January 21st, was a fabulous celebration attended by over 235 area businesses, community leaders, and elected officials.  A Social and Silent Auction beforehand provided plenty of quality time for networking.  The celebration was in honor of the past year’s successes and the focuses of the coming year, which included announcing the 2010 President, Board of Directors, and Ambassadors as well as thanking retiring directors for their service and dedication to the Chamber.  Also announced was the Small Business of the Year—East Wake TV, Large Business of the Year—Crescent State Bank, the Citizen of the Year—Libby Wilder, and the Ambassador of the Year—Lorrie Hargreaves of First Citizens Bank.   One of the main highlights of the evening was hearing Keynote Speaker, Mr. Bill Johnson, Chairman, President and CEO of Progress Energy.  The highly anticipated evening held at the N. Raleigh Hilton, was definitely one of the best banquets the Chamber has ever had.

Dr. Walden’s handout is available above. We thank our sponsors: AT&T, Crescent State Bank, Duke Raleigh Hospital, First Citizens Bank, Progress Energy, Rex Healthcare, and WakeMed.

Season's Greetings !

ChristmasChristmas

Despite the weather, the wonderful Christmas traditions of Knightdale were celebrated by many, including chamber members and town officials. The tree lighting was a great way to kick off the Holiday Season with yummy hot chocolate and apple cider, great entertainment, and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Before Saturday's parade, dignitaries, board members and ambassadors enjoyed each other's company at The Mayor's Reception sponsored by the Chamber.  Thank you to all participants!  Even though the parade was chilly & and bit wet, the weather did not stop the bands from playing, the candy grabbing, and the many entries from braving the winter conditions. Chamber President Dr. Jason Kucma & Family, our Ambassador of the Year Dr. Cole Bradburn and his wife Casey, and our Executive Director Jennifer Bryan enjoyed riding in the parade in John Massey's 1960 Red Chevrolet Convertible!  Thank you, John!  Cookies with Santa, sponsored by the East Regional Library, Knightdale Chamber of Commerce, Town of Knightdale and Laurens Way Apartments was a great way for the entire family to warm up and many did. We wish everyone a very happy Holiday season and thank you for the support you show to our town and the Chamber!
