The East Regional Library, located at 946 Steeple Square Court offers a wide variety of programming for all ages from storytime's for babies through preschoolers, school age crafts, book clubs and monthly programs and teen quarterly activities and a book club. For adults in the community, ongoing programs include a variety of Books Clubs, the ProCraftinators Craft Club, the Knight Writers writing group and a Gardening Club. Special areas of the collection of over 100,000 volumes of books include educator resources, parenting, business computers, careers, travel, audio and large print. Here comes Peter Cottontail and he's hiding candy and eggs all over the park! Small bunnies are separated by age groups: 3 and under, 4-5yrs, and 6-8yrs. Please bring your own basket. The Tree Lighting Celebration and Santa's Magical Workshop is held at the Caboose on First Avenue the Friday before the Christmas Parade at 6:00-7:30 pm. This is your chance to get those letters to Santa! Visit Mrs. Claus and all the elves at the Caboose in downtown Knightdale for a peek at Santa's Magical Workshop. You'll want to arrive early and take advantage of the Park and Ride Shuttle from the Wal-Mart parking lot so you won't miss a single float!
